1,840 m · Twenty-two rooms

Snow at the door, fire in the room.

A working alpine lodge with ski-in access in winter and eighty kilometres of trail in summer — plus a spring-fed hot pool that stays open in both.

The Lodge

Run by the family that built it

Three generations, the same larch beams, and a wood-fired boiler that has been serviced more often than most cars. Northwind is not a hotel that borrowed a mountain — it grew out of one.

Twenty-two rooms means the dining room seats everyone at once. Breakfast is at the long table, and by the second morning you will know who is skiing where.

  • Ski-in, ski-out to the Kessel lift, 90 seconds from the boot room
  • Spring-fed hot pool at 38°, open until eleven
  • Drying room, waxing bench and storage for every guest
  • Half-board included in every winter rate

★★★★★

“The drying room alone is worth the money. Boots warm every morning, which after twenty years of skiing I had stopped expecting.”

Martin H. · Fourth winter
★★★★★

“We came in July expecting a quiet off-season. Instead we walked a ridge every morning and swam in a river every afternoon.”

The Bergströms · Summer
★★★★★

“Andri took one look at the snowpack and moved us to a different face. That is the kind of guiding you cannot buy at a big resort.”

Sofia D. · Off-piste week

Winter weeks are usually gone by October. Summer has space until late spring, and the rates are a third lower.
